Community Support for Donna’s House Fire Recovery

In times of adversity, our community has always come together to support one another, and today, we extend our heartfelt concern for our neighbor, Donna, who recently experienced a devastating house fire.

Many of you have expressed a desire to help Donna during this challenging time, and her family has set up a Fundly campaign to facilitate donations for her house fire recovery. You can contribute to the fund by visiting the following link: Fundly Link: https://fundly.com/donna-wyglon-house-fire-recovery?fbclid=IwAR1SMs6lb40R9iRppLs5M-46vvtvLswspUBcWEuPY1QU_NpTmIj6-BSjcyw#

In addition to financial assistance, we understand that gestures of compassion and support are equally meaningful. You are also welcome to send cards and prayers to Donna at the following address:

Your kindness and generosity will undoubtedly provide comfort to Donna as she navigates through this challenging time. Let’s come together as a community to show our support and solidarity.

Thank you for your compassion and consideration.

Community Update: Emergency Response at 38 Autumn Trail

Dear Craneridge Family,

We hope this message finds you well. Unfortunately, we bring you news of a devastating incident that occurred last night. A massive fire engulfed the home of our neighbor, Donna Wyglon, at 38 Autumn Trail. Thankfully, Donna and her dog are safe, but her house has been completely destroyed.

The rapid response from our heroic firefighters contained the blaze, protecting surrounding homes and ensuring the safety of our community. We extend our deepest gratitude to these brave individuals for their swift action.

Donna, having lost her home, now faces the daunting task of rebuilding her life. In times like these, our community’s strength shines through. We will keep you informed about how we can come together to support Donna on her journey to recovery.

Our thoughts and support are with Donna during this challenging time.

Cookie Exchange is back! Thurs. Dec 7th @ 6:30 pm

The Holiday Season will soon be here. Cookie Exchange is back so come and join us for an evening of fun and laughter. Meet your neighbors and make new friends. I will also have a small Christmas shop open for those looking for unique Christmas gifts.

It’s easy to join the fun. Make 5 dozen of one variety of cookie. Set aside one dozen on a plate to share with everyone at the exchange.  Note:  Christmas candy is also acceptable. There will be a couple of attendees that require Gluten free cookies.

Divide the remaining four dozen into wrapped packages/bags of six cookies each. (Suggestion: use Dollar Store goodie bags or Ziplock bags or be creative with your packaging.) Bring your cookies in a basket or box so you have something to take your ‘new’ cookies home in.  Enjoy your new cookies OR share with a neighbor or relatives OR take them to work.

Want to attend but not participate in the exchange, that’s  OK. Come anyway for a little holiday cheer.  Wine and non-alcoholic beverages will be available.

Ugh! Rain. Again. Planting Day to be Rescheduled

The Woodlands & Habitat Committee continues to adjust our planting schedule based on the weather, but we hope to catch a break this coming week.
As you may know, we’ll be planting 125 native trees and shrubs in a 1,000 sq./ft area behind the new Meadow garden.

New trees and shrubs >>>

Here’s what’s happening this coming week

  1. Using a small Bobcat skid-steer with auger, Craneridge homeowner Moe Spencer will start digging holes for plants and fence posts as early as this weekend.
  2. Deer exclusion fence posts may be installed before planting day.
  3. Plants and deer exclusion fencing material will be delivered to the planting area.
  4. PLANTING DAY! Time to be announced. We’ll start with “how to plant a tree,” then start planting by sections (1, 2, 3, 4). Deer exclusion fencing will be installed around the areas where we are not planting.

Sign up to lend a hand! Water and snacks will be available. Once you sign up, an email will be sent with more details. Learn more about the reforesation project here.
