Craneridge Dinner Nite Sign-up for Saturday, November 16th (6pm)

For decades, one of the most successful and popular Craneridge social events was the Gourmet Club. Several times a year, members of the Gourmet Club collaborated to plan and prepare a gourmet dinner. Club members were divided into rotating groups of eight. Each individual or couple was assigned a dish to prepare, and one member or couple volunteered to host. On the designated night, every group sat down together at their host’s home in Craneridge to enjoy their unique collaborative culinary adventure!

The Craneridge Neighborhood Engagement Committee (NEC) is interested in reviving this endearing tradition. To start, we are going to plan just one dinner — for Saturday, November 16th. Please complete this form to let us know your level of interest. Thank you!

This Event is open to Craneridge (Adult) Residents and their (Adult) Guests. Please try to get your Interest-Response submitted to the Craneridge Neighborhood Engagement Committee by Wednesday, November 6th.

Clarifying the HOA Board’s Responsibilities

Dear Craneridge Community Members,

As a friendly reminder, the HOA Board is composed of volunteers who are here to manage the business and fiscal matters of the community in alignment with our Mission. We are not here to police the actions of your neighbors in matters that fall outside of our covenants and by-laws.

If you’re concerned about nuisance or illegal behaviors, we encourage you to contact the Erie County Sheriff’s District Colden Substation. For non-emergencies, dial 716-858-2903.

If loose dogs are an issue, please reach out to Concord Dog Control at 716-863-5841 or 716-592-7875.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we continue to work together to foster a positive community atmosphere.

Urgent — Treasurer Needed for Craneridge!

Dear Craneridge Community Members,

We’re heading into a crucial time as we plan our next three-year budget for 2026-2028, and we really need someone from our community to step up as Treasurer. This role is VERY important for keeping our finances on track, and we can’t do it without a volunteer from the community.

Why is this role so important?

Our Treasurer plays a vital role in reviewing our monetary requirements, preparing annual budgets, and ensuring long-term financial planning. Without a Treasurer, our ability to maintain and improve our community infrastructure and services is at risk.

How to Get Involved:

If you or someone you know has the knowledge and skills to assist us, please reach out as soon as possible. We are looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about our community and willing to contribute their expertise to ensure our financial stability.

Contact Us:

For more information or to express your interest, please contact Shannon at scmenter@yahoo.com or 716-432-4778.

In addition, any BOD member will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the role.

Community Announcement: In Memory of David Sears

It is with heavy hearts that we share the sad news of the passing of our dear community member, David Sears, on July 31, 2024. David was a beloved husband and best friend to Deborah Richter, and together they started the Craneridge Little Library at the Mail Center, enriching our community in a meaningful way.

His spirit of adventure and community involvement touched many lives here in Craneridge.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor David’s memory. The family encourages memorials to be made to SASi or Rails to Trails in his honor.

Please join us in sending heartfelt condolences to Deborah and the entire Sears family during this difficult time.

For more details, please refer to David G. Sears’ obituary: https://www.comfortfuneralhome.com/obitu…/David-G-Sears…

With deepest sympathy,
Your Craneridge Neighbors

Neighborhood Engagement Committee (NEC) – Thanks to BOD and Community

Friends and Neighbors,

Thank you to everyone who attended our Craneridge summer music event on Sunday, July 28. We loved seeing our neighbors gathered in the shelter, on the grass, in the pool and on the swings. Neighbors all around coming together for an evening of music!

Thanks also to the Craneridge Board of Directors for funding and supporting this event. Without your countless volunteer hours, none of this could happen.

The Party Squad loved playing for our community. They appreciated your enthusiasm and were seriously blown away by your generous tips!

We are excited that the new Neighborhood Engagement Committee has officially launched. We look forward to hearing your ideas and stand by to support and guide you as you imagine, plan, and host your own events. Please contact Jen Parsons with questions or ideas for events: jenparglen@gmail.com
