A few of the tables in the pool area need to be stained. It is a left over job from our spring work day. If you are able to help out for an hour to knock them out, there will be residents meeting at the pool at 10am on Saturday May, 21. Thanks in advance for your help.
The Architectural Committee is helping you to get ready for your summer projects with a one-day only, expedited approval process.
On Monday, May 16 from 7pm-9pm the Committee will be at the pool shelter to approve requests on the spot. Simply bring 3 copies of the submission form and any color samples that may be needed and you should be able to walk away with an approval in hand.
If you have any questions, contact Jen Parsons at 592-0170.
Mark your calendars, this Saturday, May 7th and join us at the pool shelter at 10 am for our Annual Meeting. Candidates running for the board (in alphabetical order) are, David Czaplicki, Debbie Dietrich, Mike Hall, Tim Lazarus, Thad Leugemors and Ted Welch.
Get an update first hand on what’s happening and vote. We hope to see you there.
Happy Earth Day Craneridge! We’re fortunate to have a unique neighborhood that is closely integrated with its surrounding woodlands. A reminder of a couple upcoming events to help us take pride and maintain our surroundings:
Saturday 4/23 1p-3p @ the pool shelter: Free trees and shrubs! First come first serve for free tree and shrub saplings to plant on your property and around Craneridge. Help us diversify our forest and improve our woodlands.
Saturday 4/30 9:30a @ the pool shelter: Spring Work Day. We’ll be cleaning, trimming, gardening, doing minor repairs. There is plenty of work to go around. We work for a couple hours and have lunch afterwards. Food and beverages provided. If you’d like to bring a dish to pass it is appreciated but not required. Bring the whole family.
It’s that time of year again where we are looking for volunteers to run for the Craneridge Board of Directors. It can take as little as a couple hours a month, and in exchange you are able to represent your neighborhood and help drive the future of Craneridge.
We want a diverse Board to represent everyone in the community. It doesn’t matter if you have lived here for 49 years or just moved in last week, everyone has an equal vote in shaping the neighborhood.
If you have served on the Board before, please consider running again.
If you have never served on the Board but are curious, please reach out to any current Board member with questions. Or you can send an email to our general mailbox and someone will get back to you: firstname.lastname@example.org
If you are interested in running, please contact the Nominations Committee chairman Dave Harris at email@example.com.
Craneridge Page on Nextdoor.com
Craneridge is now using a private online network called Nextdoor. Nextdoor is a free and private social network just for Craneridge residents. On Nextdoor, we can share crime and safety concerns, events, recommendations, items for sale/free, ideas how to make our neighborhood better, etc. There is also a feature that allows alerts to go out via email or text message (if you choose) in the event of emergencies.
If you are a resident, please check it out here: https://nextdoor.com/invite/unhcpspakmuayhurxgbv
Nextdoor is not going to replace the website. It is intended to compliment the site, as well as our Facebook page, as a place where residents can communicate privately.
Covenants and By-Laws Meeting
There will be a follow-up meeting to discuss possible changes to the covenants and/or by-laws of Craneridge on Wednesday, February 10, 7:00 at 133 Deer Run. If you would like to be involved and missed the first meeting, please RSVP to Debbie at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have suggestions but cannot make the meeting, please feel free to email Debbie as well. Thank you.
Maintenance and Nominations Committees
We are currently looking for a new chairperson for the Maintenance Committee. The committee is in place with active volunteers so the new chairperson would have a lot of help. The chairperson’s responsibility is be coordinate the activities and serve and the main contact for maintenance related items. If interested, please contact Cory Bowen at 592-7212 or email@example.com
We are also looking for 2-3 residents to serve on the Nominations Committee. The Nominations Committee makes nominations for the Board of Directors for the election to be held at the annual meeting in May. Anyone interested in helping should contact Dave Harris at 794-3133.
Plowing and Street Parking
The Association received a message from the Town Highway Supervisor asking us to remind residents of laws regarding plowing and parking in the winter. Recently, snow has been pushed all over the roads by plow contractors which is against numerous laws in the New York State Vehicle & Traffic Laws Section 1219, Town Highway Law Section 214, and Highway Law Section 319. This creates a driving hazard and extra work for the highway plows.
Also as a reminder, there is no overnight street parking in the winter.
Thanks for your cooperation in helping the Town take care of our neighborhood.
