While the overall project cost may initially seem significant, it is important to remember that the expense is shared across more than 170 lots within the community.
It is also substantially less expensive than continuing the historical cost of maintaining the old gas lighting system. Over the past 15 years, Craneridge spent nearly $500,000 maintaining the gas lights. By comparison, projected lighting costs over the next 15 years are expected to be under $110,000, with costs decreasing further once project financing is paid off.
The Association also has reserve funds available and plans to utilize affordable financing options to help manage the project responsibly.
