Simoncelli Electric has assured the Craneridge Lighting Committee that the project will be completed by the end of October. Just in time for long dark nights.

The details…

  • Simoncelli Electric has installed numerous meter posts in previously marked locations. The locations were chosen in close proximity to supplied power to limit underground conduit runs. Two new utility poles will be added to accommodate the new meters. One pole will be at Deer Run and Hardwood the other at Deer Run and Woodstock.
  • The extra poles are necessary to avoid expensive directional boring under the road. Simoncelli Electric was quoted $22 per foot to bore, which would have added several thousand dollars to the project. The new utility posts will be supplied by NYSEG and will not affect the overall cost of the project.
  • All disturbed land, driveways, and drainage will be remediated by Simoncelli as per the contract. Check the Craneridge Street Lighting Project webpage to view the contract.
  • New work order numbers have finally been generated by NYSEG. This means that NYSEG can provide Simoncelli Electric with the additional meters necessary for the project to move forward.
  • Simoncelli provides a one-year warranty on all work performed throughout the project in its entirety. It does not cover the lighting fixtures themselves. A copy of Simoncelli’s warranty can be found on the Street Lighting Project webpage. The warranty for the fixtures is through the manufacturer. Their warranty is for 5 years from the purchase date. For further information, please visit the Brandon Industries website.
  • Simoncelli Electric was paid a down payment of $5,980 prior to work starting. The invoice for the down payment can be found on the Street Lighting Project webpage.

On behalf of Sam Lewandowski and Cory Bowen, who have led the Lighting Committee for the better part of three years, and the Craneridge Board, we share a heartfelt thank you for all the community support navigating through this very challenging project.
