I understand the heater is off again because of C O 2 alarm going off. Obviously the venting is a problem that has never been addressed I guess the board figured new heater was sufficent . The venting problem was part responsible for the demise of old heater with water leaking down the vent onto the burners. God forbid there is an explosion or fire !!
After the heater was installed on July 23rd, it was noted by Fisher Pools that the Indoor Draft Hood was not the correct size or fit for the heater. Jeff from Fisher ordered the new hood which was supposed to come in on the July 26th, which it did. However, it was missing integral parts before install. The rep was contacted and he has been waiting on the correct parts before the official install. Unfortunately in the meantime, the CO detector went off again. We can’t proceed with the updates to the exhaust until the new hood is installed which should be any day now. Thus the reason for the delay and why the pool heater and water heater are turned off. Once the hood is in, the other exhaust issues will be fixed and we will be good to go. The Code inspector is aware of this issue and to alleviate your concerns, there is no imminent danger of an explosion or a fire. Thanks for your patience!
